Blurb/Summary:

Book 2 of 3

Sweet twenty-seven and never been kissed. Well…no one’s ever accused Marley Wade of being sweet. Raised in the world of construction by her rough-and-tumble father, Marley knows what it takes to succeed as a general contractor in a man’s world. The last thing she needs is an employee who makes her feel soft and feminine.

New co-owner of Hunter Construction Justin Blake goes undercover on Marley’s crew to discover the truth behind his grandfather’s death. But he didn't count on an instant attraction to his boss—or for it to develop into deeper emotions. When a blackmailer threatens to expose the twenty-five-year-old secrets that link his family and Marley’s, Justin realizes the truth could not only destroy a future with Marley, but his entire family as well.

In a world where nothing is as it seems, can Justin and Marley trust a love that appears as elusive as a mirage?

Review:

Shattered Trust by Stacey Joy Netzel took me from one spectrum of emotion to the end, add in well-built cliff hangers and I had to force myself to put down the story to sleep. I couldn’t get enough of Marley the tough woman who had blinders on to her sexiness. I found her strength commendable and her drive to succeed and keep what was left of her family together endearing.

I disliked her brother at first because the reason for all the discord wasn’t available right then.

Justin was something else, with his secret spying ways. I didn’t appreciate his dishonest approach but it made sense. I found I needed the answers he searched for. I reserved my judgement for his twin Jordan through all the rollercoasters of who, what, and why…and fell into the unbridled passion erupting between Justin and Marley. I hoped they’d find the strength to withstand the obstacles in their way and heal from the damage done to them all.

This was a book I’d read again.
